Foundation Hair Course (Basic):
Introduction to hair dressing
This empowering and motivating course is designed for the newest hairdressers to our industry and focuses on building confidence and knowledge within the hairdresser. It aims to provide the foundation for a professional career in hair or simply pander to the interest of those who are keen on learning and understanding hair. Initial practice will take place on false blocks of hair, quickly progressing onto live models.

This course ensures that a thorough understanding of the basic techniques is achieved, before progressing onto salon orientated styling. Classic cutting, finishing, basic perming and colouring techniques will be covered, from application and colour choice to simple colour correction and winding techniques. Recognised globally, this course will teach you the core techniques of hairdressing. Simply bring along your vision, creativity and enthusiasm to learn.

Suitability: Previous hairdressing experience not required, although you will be required to be hard working and passionate about hair

Duration: 6-7 weeks

Basic precision cutting skills are quickly introduced :
  • One length haircuts, classic line techniques, classic layering, classic bobs and transient haircuts
  • Shampooing, blow drying and finishing with products
  • Styling techniques and setting
